Cherilyn Burke Shoemaker

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I, Helen, write about my sister, Cherilyn who passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born on January 2, 1956 in Snowflake, Arizona.

Cherilyn was an adventurous spirit with a zest for life that was infectious. Her laughter, a testiment to her funny and loving nature, could light up any room. Cherilyn was a courageous woman, never shying away from life's challenges. She was a source of love and joy to all who knew her.

Cherilyn's greatest joy was her family and especially her two girls and her stepson and thier families. They all meant the world to her and were the light of her life.
Cherilyn is survived by her husband Don Shoemaker and her two daughters; Jenny Kuntz Quintanilla and her husband George Quintanilla. Their two daughters Breannan (Alex) Schloissnik and Bre and Alex's three daughters; Harper, Remi and Charli Schloissnik. Jenny and George's second daughter, Darianne Quintanilla.

Also survived by her daughter Tessa Meyer Resnick and her husband Sam Resnick; Tessa's three sons, Josuah Bayhi, Jacob Bayhi and Odin Sallison.
Also, Don's son, Cherilyn's step son, Ian Shoemaker and his wife Kristen. Along with thier daughter Sammi June.

Cherilyn is survived by her sister Helen Burke Masterson; her son Ben Masterson and his wife Harley. Ben was like a son to Cherilyn. Also, two sisters-in-law; Margaret (Wes) and Patti (Trent).

She was preceeded in death by her parents, James Le Roy and Montez Hall Burke. Cherilyn is from a family of ten. Those who have lovingly, happily, and enthusiastically recieved her are; Joyce, Mont, Jean, Rochelle, Trent, Larmer, Wes, Manon.

Cherilyn dedicated her life to caring for others as a Respiratory Therapist in the healthcare industry. While raising her daughters, she worked to get her Associate Degree and worked for 37 continuious years in that field. Much of the time she was a single mom but she was steadfast and committed in caring for her children.
